I very much like giving lectures, which I do on a regular basis. Topics I lecture about are for instance electrophysiology, learning and memory, psychopharmacology, and first and second messenger systems. I also frequently supervise bachelor’s and master’s students who are performing their (research) internship.
I coordinate a course for two of our research master’s specialisations (Fundamental Neuroscience + Drug Development and Neurohealth). The course is related to electrophysiology and discusses everything from molecular processes up to cognition.
Once every two years, I teach a course on psychopharmacology for Cognitive Science and for Psychology students at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Here, we focus on the neurobiology of various disorders and on neurotransmitter systems that one should target to effectively treat symptoms in these disorders.
